From time to time you may want to backup your database to keep from losing everything in the event your host goes down or your database gets erased. To access the backup and restore function go to 'Configuration->Backup & Restore Database' once you have click to go you will see the following screen:
To create a backup file click the 'Backup database to file.' link on the page. Once you have the system will create a backup at with the date and time the backup was created like so:
Now in the Backup files list you will see a date and time for that particular backup file. To the right of the file you have three options:
- Restore the database to this file
- Download the database to your local computer
- Delete the backup file from the server
If you choose to restore your database the system will grab the file from the backup folder and restore your database to that point in time.

This will only backup your database. It will not backup any images or your site. If you want to backup your images and vehicle photos you must do so manually. |
