We recommend you set your digital camera to take phot's at the size of 640x480 this will keep them at a smaller file size. However you can go up to a size of 800x600. Using these sizes will help with page load times.

Uploading Your Photo's:

Uploading is the most commonly used way to add photo's to a vehicle. To upload you must first go to Manage Photos->Upload Photos.

Once you have clicked the Upload Photo's link you will be presented with a form to upload your photo's like this:

From here select the vehicle you want to upload photos for from the drop down list to the right of Stock number.

After you have the appropriate vehicle selected, click the 'Browse...' button to find the photo you wish to upload. Do this for each of the photo's up to 12 at a time. You will be able to add more photo's as needed we have capped it at 12 per time to keep you hosting account from freezing when uploading.

Once your have selected the files you want to upload click the upload Upload Photo's button at the bottom of the page. You will then be given a upload success page with a list of the new file names for your photo's:

That's all there is to it. If you wish to upload more photo's for this vehicle click the 'Upload more photo's for stock number' link at the bottom of the page like you see above, this will take you back to the form and allow you to upload another 1-10 photo's. If you wish to upload photo's for a different vehicle click the 'Upload photo's for a different stock number' link on the bottom right hand side as seen above.

Adding Remote Photo's:

Adding remote photo's is a little different, first from the manage photo's page click the link 'Add Remote Photos' and you will be presented with a form that looks like this:

As you can see the first step is to select the appropriate vehicle from the drop down menu to the right of 'Select Stock Number'. After you have the right vehicle selected you need to add your list of urls to your photo's in the text area below. Each photo must be on its own line.

Example:

http://www.yourdomain.com/images/image1.gif

http://www.yourdomain.com/images/image2.gif

http://www.yourdomain.com/images/imagename.gif

http://www.yourdomain.com/images/stocknum.gif

http://www.yourdomain.com/images/anything.gif

http://www.yourdomain.com/images/anything.jpg

There is no special naming convention for the photo names. You can name them anything you want. After you have created your list click the 'add photos' button at the bottom of the form. You will then be presented with a success page if there were no errors in adding your photo's like the one below:

Deleting Photo's & Setting a Photo's as The Default First Photo:

To remove a photo(s) or to set a particular photo as the default first photo that is shown in the vehicle listings, search results & the vehicle details page you need to visit the edit vehicle page from the 'Manage Inventory->List New Inventory' or 'Manage Inventory->List Used Inventory' option in the navigation menu at the top of the page. You will see a list of your vehicles, with each listing there will be options to the right for viewing, deleting, editing and so on. We want to click the edit vehicle icon:

The actual page will have more details then we have listed above but we are only interested in the photo's in this section.

As you can see each photo has a option below it, delete or make first. If you want to delete a individual photo click the delete link, you will be prompt to make sure you want to delete the chosen photo to avoid the accidental deletion of a photo.

If you want to make a particular photo the first(default) photo for this vehicle you would click the make first link. You will also be prompt to make sure this is the photo you want as the first photo.

The current first(default) vehicle photo will be highlighted in Green as seen in the image above.
